Stanford is fast becoming a culinary hotspot, boasting Mariana’s award-winning bistro, Madré’s kitchen at Robert Stanford winery with views over the vineyards, The Table with views over the market square where you can enjoy fresh food every day, GRAZE for breakfast and light lunches, the SPOOKHUIS on the lagoon with magical views and only a few kilometres out of town, and many more.

Visit the Birkenhead micro-brewery for a unique beer tasting and lunch. Take the children to the Klein River Cheese Farm, 7km outside Stanford where they can en joy the extensive playground and tame farm animals-pigs, goats, chickens- while you indulge in a picnic basket and a bottle of locally produced wine on the river bank. The farm sells their cheeses and has won numerous awards.

There are many adventure tours on offer, including 4X4 trails, quad biking, hikes and shark cage diving in the nearby town of Gansbaai. A beautiful wedding venue is included under adventures!
An easy 25km drive from Hermanus, Stanford property owners readily drive into Hermanus for those items not readily available in Stanford Village or to enjoy the Hermanus amenities.
